The Women of the Towing and Recovery Association of America was established in 1981 as a subsidiary organization of the Towing and Recovery Association of America, Inc. (TRAA). Its goals are to provide financial aid to the TRAA, support women in the towing industry and assist the WTRAA Scholarship Trustees in providing grant scholarships to children of towing professionals to further their education.

The Women of the Towing & Recovery Association of America (WTRAA) is an auxiliary organization for the Towing & Recovery Association of American (TRAA). Since 1990, under the TRAA Education Foundation, the WTRAA Scholarship Fund Committee has awarded scholarships to the child or grandchild of a TRAA regular member to help them complete their education.

Scholarships are awarded to students each year based on merit, financial need, and the candidate's overall character, community involvement, family service, etc. Connor Schmit - Awarded $2,000.00 - Connor will be a freshman at Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN.
Services
To support, promote and uphold the aims and purposes of the Towing and Recovery Association of America, Inc.
To promote fellowship between all members of this organization, TRAA affiliated organizations, and the industry at large.
To support and promote the financial growth of the TRAA Education Foundation's WTRAA Scholarship Fund.
Neworking- WTRAA members understand the value of networking.
WTRAA events provide the opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, meet new friends and just have fun.
Support- Since its inception, WTRAA has offered support to women of TRAA members, TRAA member companies and the industry overall through educating, encouraging and empathizing with the women who serve as the cornerstones of their families and businesses.

My name is Gaynell Rochester and I am your new WTRAA President.
My career in the towing and transportation industries spans 37 years.
My husband and I own a tow company in NC, now in its second generation.
I am a Transportation Incident Management Specialist serving as a consultant to the private and Government entities in towing operations.
In 2010, I was fortunate to build and become the CEO of INA Towing Network serving commercial fleets in the U.S. and Canada.
WTRAA is continually looking for women with heart to carry on its legacy, introduce new ideas and support its current programs.
